The 18th August kettlebell sport workshop took place the day after the 2019 GSU Scottish Championship and so was maybe our most International workshop with lifters from 7 different countries attending! It was a real mix of experienced lifters and coaches, returning attendees, first time attendees, Traditional Girevoy Sport lifters, Marathon lifters, and some people who were still fairly new to the sport!
With everyone’s competition sets fresh in their minds we were able to work on areas they felt limited them the day before or in the training cycle for competition. The morning was spent looking at snatch technique and in the afternoon the focus switched to jerk and long cycle. It was great to see the lifters that attended not only working with both Eddie and Abi but also swapping tips and entering discussions with each other about technique and training. A great day all round and hopefully a good way to round off the weekend for everyone!

Great day, lots of little adjustments to take away which will hopefully add up to big improvements.
Good having it the day after the comp as areas of weakness were clearly in mind, and made perfect sense to highlight those at the start of the day. Picked up a lot from the breathing session, and the feedback on my lift was completely individual and I appreciated the time both Abi and Eddie gave to me.
It was a big ask to cover all three lifts in the day, but it didn’t feel rushed, and it was a good opportunity to work with others and pick up tips from them too. It may have benefited from another reflection discussion before ploughing into the afternoon session to flag anything particular to focus on. But as both coaches were happily taking questions throughout it wasn’t an issue.
Would thoroughly recommend the workshop to anyone at any level, as you will improve as a result.

The course gave me the opportunity to practice all three lifts and access to two brilliant lifters to ask any questions about the sport or individual lift and to also perfect little changes/tweaks upon their observations of me.
Would highly recommend this to anyone in the sport whether a beginner or experienced lifter. To sum up the day in a few words. Abi and Eddie are two of the best lifters in the world, this course gives you access to tap into their personal skills and experiences to help you perfect your own lifts. This is one NOT to miss.

Really enjoyed this workshop. As a beginner, I really appreciate that the lifts are broken down into parts, that I can then understand a lot better. It makes it much easier to find where things have gone a bit wrong. I also really like the way it is taught i.e. it’s not a one size fits all, and that a lift doesn’t need to ‘look’ a certain way, for it to work for me. Even though there were a few people at this, I still feel like I got a very personalised experience. No question is a silly question at these, which is great because I wasn’t afraid to ask anything. Highly recommended session for anyone wanting to analyse their technique.

There are so many aspects to kettlebell sport that I have truly enjoyed, and found extremely valuable, attending this workshop for the 3rd time. Every time I have walked away with new, helpful, tools that I can’t wait to put into practice. I really appreciate how well you specifically tailor your workshop for the athletes attending.
