The 1st September workshop in York saw probably our most experienced group of lifters to date – every workshop is unique in who attends and so how it evolves and what we cover over the day, at this one we had some of the most experienced lifters in the U.K. These guys have all been competing for between 3-10 years. It was really enjoyable to have the opportunity to both work with them and also get to know them all a bit better outside of the normal quick chats at competitions!

As well as technique work we went over specific mobility work, and  discussed and experimented a it with heart rate training. We also went over a bit of how to analyse long term trend in HRV for those that track it. Great day, followed up by the opportunity to see everyone put things into practice at the Grassroots competition the next day!

Lots of really useful and personal feedback. Session tailored to meet the needs of a very different group. Always feels like more bits of the jigsaw falling into place, skills building gradually over time.

Today was very useful for me, this is the third workshop I have attended and every time I come away with loads of useful tips. I particularly enjoyed the teaching on breathing as I am sure it will help me to survive for longer in competition.
